compressed space | vienna 03 | 2008 competition

the new connection, bringing together two existing separate buildings, is defined by a space that is created by two slabs, which eventually converge to leave just the room necessary for passage. the only connecting elements between floor and ceiling are the contrasting types of glass panes with their individual characteristics. both slabs appear to be floating independently in the urban space.
